  • We do not sell your contact details.
  • We send email marketing only after you explicitly opt in.
  • Unsuccessful enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact.

1. Who we are

STURDYSTRA Ltd is the controller responsible for personal information collected through this website and when you enquire about our services. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 14563459. Our registered address is 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, UK.

Contact us about privacy at [email protected] or write to our registered address.

This notice covers website visitors, enquiries and prospective business contacts. Work involving a client’s systems or personal information may also be covered by separate service agreements and data processing terms.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and the information you include in your message.
  • Email, phone and WhatsApp: contact details, correspondence and business information you choose to share.
  • Appointments: when you book through Calendly, your name, email address, chosen appointment time and any other information you submit in the booking form.
  • Marketing preferences: your opt-in, opt-out and related consent records.
  • Website information: technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, and information processed by cookies and spam-prevention technology.

Please only send information needed for your enquiry. Avoid including passwords or sensitive personal information in the contact form.

3. How we use your information

Answering enquiries and preparing proposals

We use your information to respond, understand your requirements, arrange conversations and prepare proposals. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. For enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, we rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective clients and providing our services.

Keeping the website secure

We use technical information to operate and protect the website and help prevent spam and abuse. Our legitimate interest is maintaining reliable, secure services. Consent required for cookies or similar technologies is separate from the lawful basis for processing personal information.

Email marketing

We send email marketing only after you explicitly opt in. Our lawful basis is consent. Sending an enquiry or booking an appointment does not subscribe you to marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe option in a marketing email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent.

Analytics and advertising

Our rule is to obtain consent before enabling optional advertising or behaviour-tracking technologies. Details of the technologies in use and your choices are explained in our Cookie Policy.

4. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your contact details. Information may be handled by providers supporting our website hosting, maintenance, email and communications, where needed to deliver those services. Website emails are sent through Brevo (formerly Sendinblue). We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help detect automated abuse. It may send technical and interaction information to Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.

We use Calendly to offer appointment booking. Our booking page contains an embedded Calendly calendar so you can book without leaving this website. When that page loads, your browser connects to Calendly, which may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Calendly processes the information you enter and shares booking details with us so we can arrange and handle your appointment. A separate link lets you open the calendar on Calendly’s website. See Calendly’s Privacy Notice for its handling of personal information.

If you choose to use WhatsApp or visit a social media page, the relevant platform also processes information under its own privacy terms.

5. International processing

Third-party services such as Calendly, Google and WhatsApp may process information outside the UK. Their privacy notices explain their processing locations and transfer arrangements. Google’s data transfer framework information describes its international transfer safeguards.

Our website email delivery service is Brevo (formerly Sendinblue). Brevo states that its databases are hosted in the European Union. Its data storage information explains this arrangement.

You can contact us for information about the service providers handling your enquiry, international transfers and the safeguards relevant to your information.

6. How long we keep information

We keep enquiries and associated appointment records that do not become client engagements for up to 12 months after our last contact, then delete or anonymise them. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, the relevant service agreement and record-keeping requirements determine how long client records are retained.

Where you separately opt in to email marketing, that consent is managed independently of your enquiry. You can unsubscribe at any time. We retain the minimum opt-out information needed to respect your choice, and consent evidence where needed to demonstrate how permission was obtained.

Cookie durations are explained in our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights and choices

You can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy where the legal conditions apply. These rights depend on the circumstances and are not absolute.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling based on those interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity.

You do not have to submit an enquiry. Without contact details or sufficient information, we may be unable to respond or prepare a proposal.

8. Complaints and updates

Please contact us if you have concerns. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

We will update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
